Scholarship students Visit: Popakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg & Würzburg University of Music
This week, we were delighted to welcome scholarship recipients from the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg and the University of Music Würzburg (HfM Würzburg) to the Thomann Campus in Treppendorf.
The visit took place as part of our commitment through the Hans Thomann Foundation. Through the foundation, we support numerous universities across Germany and help emerging musicians focus on their studies by easing their financial burden.
After arriving, the group joined our CEO Hans for lunch, followed by a tour of the campus. Of course, a walk-through of the shop was also a must, including a quick look at our new shop building.
Empowering more music
But the best part of days like these is the personal exchange: hearing their stories, learning more about their musical journeys, and getting to know the people behind the scholarships makes our commitment tangible and reminds us why we do this.
For the Thomann family, success has always gone hand in hand with social responsibility, not only towards employees and millions of customers, but especially towards children and young people whose path to music is often made difficult, or even blocked, by social barriers or a lack of financial means.

The Hans Thomann Foundation
As a natural next step, Hans Thomann Jr. founded the Hans Thomann Foundation in September 2012.
To this day, its guiding idea is to inspire children and young people through music and enable them to experience the joy and many facets of making music. The focus is on long-term support by providing instruments, covering lesson fees, and awarding scholarships.
Because we often support projects over an extended period, we can ensure that funds are used effectively and that our contribution has a lasting impact.
We were truly delighted to welcome the scholarship recipients. The visit is a great reminder of what it’s all about: young people, passion, and lots of music.
