Sun on our faces, music in our ears

What a day! The amps have gone quiet, the food trucks have rolled on, and peace has returned to our campus. But the vibe from our summer celebration on Saturday, July 19, still lingers. Every year, colleagues from around the world, their families, delicious food, and plenty of music and fun come together on our Treppendorf campus.It was the perfect day to set down your instruments, grab a cold drink, and simply enjoy some awesome tunes and great company.

By the afternoon, the grounds were buzzing with color and life, transforming into a festival meadow. A huge variety of food trucks left nothing to be desired – serving juicy burgers, crisp bowls, hearty wraps, and refreshing frozen yogurt. While the grown-ups relaxed and showed off their best dance moves in front of the stage, the kids were unstoppable: a bounce house, trampoline, and giant Lego blocks kept them joyfully entertained.

Music by us, for us

The evening kicked off with a special act: our talented colleague Jozef Racek and his band won hearts with chilled indie pop and psychedelic vibes, perfectly suited to the sunny setting. Next up, the Big T Band, made up of our own staff, took the stage. With infectious energy, finesse, and a colorful mix of songs – from Stevie Wonder and the Jackson Five to Adele – they lifted the crowd into pure joy. 

Then came the emotional tradition – honoring those celebrating their work anniversaries of 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, and even an incredible 40 years. A heartfelt thank-you to everyone for your loyalty and amazing contributions. And to top it all off, the band The Rock*Show brought explosive energy and pounding beats to the stage, getting everyone up and dancing to rock classics as twilight settled in.

Shared emotions, lasting memories

The atmosphere was sensational – joyful, warm, and full of life. What remains are countless happy memories, sore muscles from all the dancing, and excitement for next year.

A big thank-you to Hans and the entire organizing team – our summer highlight wouldn’t be possible without you. We’re already looking forward to next year: same time, same place, same vibe.
