Fresh Faces On Campus
One day with us and already breaking records: 25 new apprentices have started their training with us – more than ever before in a single year! Spread across departments such as dialogue marketing, office management, wholesale and foreign trade management, woodwind instrument making, IT, electronics, warehousing, logistics, and retail, they bring a breath of fresh air along with plenty of ideas, questions, dedication, and courage.
In the thick of things from the very start: How the first weeks went.
To immediately show that they had chosen the right company, we welcomed them with carefully planned introduction days. The relaxed start on September 1st began with a shared breakfast in our t.kitchen—perfect for putting faces to names, exchanging first impressions, and gradually settling into the new environment. Afterward, the new apprentices were greeted by our COO Markus Neser and CHRO Manfred Specht during a welcome event. This was followed by icebreaker games and an exciting tour of our store and Administrative Building 3—now the new workplace for many.
On Tuesday, the schedule included visits to the Service Center and Logistics, along with an introduction to workplace safety, followed by a get-together with the trainers. Wednesday was dedicated to a first aid course for everyone, which ensures quick help on our large campus in emergencies—and can also be practically used for driving license requirements.
Starting Thursday, things really kicked off: into the departments, first tasks, first impressions, and getting to know colleagues. The daily routine began to pick up pace, but one highlight was still yet to come.
Team spirit and fun at the apprentice trip
For the apprentice trip, 47 of our apprentices from all years met together with our apprenticeship coordinator Anja and HR working student Rebecca at the Hain in Bamberg for a day full of team games, getting to know each other, and fun. After a brief “speed dating” session to welcome the new apprentices and several creative group activities, the event continued at Schönleinsplatz, where the team game was played in four large groups. Following exciting challenges and a small awards ceremony with group photos, the day ended comfortably with a shared meal at Brauhaus Sternla.
A successful start – thanks to excellent planning
The smooth, warm, and well-organized start is thanks above all to our apprenticeship coordinator Anja. With a lot of heart, dedication, and attention to detail, she made sure everyone felt welcome right from the beginning. We’re incredibly excited about the time ahead and to see how young people grow with us and find their place in the world.
