La Dolce Vita –
Our Thomann
X-MAS Party 2025

Anyone who works at Thomann often hears a sentence that sounds like a promise: “The Christmas party is legendary!” And that is by no means an exaggeration. Months before the big day, our organizing team begins meticulous planning—everything from booking the Brose Arena in Bamberg to arranging the musical acts, and even deciding on the theme, which keeps everyone excited each year. This theme is kept as strictly confidential as the construction of a Stradivarius violin—rumor has it, even with a nondisclosure agreement.

When the secret was finally revealed in early November, excitement was high: this year’s “La Dolce Vita.” Not only does this promise the Italian way of life, but it also sets the perfect stage for a celebration full of enjoyment and camaraderie. A particularly wonderful aspect is that many of our colleagues from all over Europe, as well as partners, use the party as an opportunity to visit us in person. The week leading up to the event is therefore filled with a buzz of activity, fun, and plenty of action, alongside joint meetings and workshops.

Until November 29, everyone had time to find the perfect outfit, before the big day finally arrived. From the moment we entered the main hall, we were immersed in the world of Italy: Vespas, olive trees, Fiat 500s, Piaggio Apes, and lovingly decorated “Mutti” cans created an authentic atmosphere. Delicious drinks helped set the tone for the evening.

At 7 p.m., the doors opened to the festively decorated hall. Gala tables, candelabras, and elegant place settings provided the backdrop for a formal evening. After Hans’ welcoming speech, which reviewed the highlights of the year, the culinary experience began with appetizers such as antipasti, vitello tonnato, and caprese pastrami, giving us a tantalizing preview of the main courses to come.

Che grande festa!

The buffet left nothing to be desired: ossobuco, pollo fino, spicy octopus, and of course, pasta. And for the grand finale: tiramisu, panna cotta, cannoli, and biscotti. A menu that let us experience La Dolce Vita to the fullest, purely through culinary delights.

But the feast extended beyond our plates. Four musical acts turned our Christmas party into more of a festival than a traditional celebration: the band 4 Souls provided the first musical backdrop, followed by our very own BigTBand taking the stage. With a mix of soul, jazz, and pop, they delighted the audience with classics from Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, and Adele. Later, the Belgian party band Midnight Avenue got everyone on the dance floor, transforming the arena into a lively party zone.

For those who danced late into the night, there was of course a midnight snack: tramezzini and pizza to recharge tired feet. And when the party band left the stage, our DJ colleague Oktay from the PA department took over, keeping us moving with beats well into the early hours, accompanied by sore feet, but an unstoppable party spirit.

Our Thomann Christmas party is an evening that brings people together, excites, and outdoes itself every year. We’re already counting the days until next year. See you there?
