From an Order to an Unforgettable Day
On an ordinary weekday, people from nine different countries opened their mail and found, tucked between postcards and advertisements, a golden ticket with their name on it – from Thomann. Wait a minute… hadn’t I just ordered a new amp? Exactly!
Between September 12 and October 10, all our customers had the chance to experience something truly special: anyone who placed an order during this period was automatically entered into our draw. The lucky winners eventually received one of our golden tickets by mail – their pass to an exclusive day at Thomann in Treppendorf. The VIP day included a tour of our campus with CEO Hans Thomann, a shopping spree with a €200 voucher, a shared dinner, a goodie bag, and organized travel and accommodation with all expenses covered. On November 7, the big day finally arrived: the doors opened for an unforgettable experience on our campus.
Inside Thomann: Campus Tour with Hans
After a warm welcome from Hans, who shared a brief history of Thomann, his family, and our values, the tour began. Hans guided our guests through the logistics area, where they could see firsthand how orders are prepared, packed, and shipped. The tour continued to quality service and the workshops, where guests met our employees, who shared their journeys to Thomann and their passion for true craftsmanship. After a refreshment break in the t.kitchen, the group joined Sales Director Florian Rittweger for a visit to our Thollywood Studios. “It’s so cool to see the set live. I know all the backgrounds from YouTube!” one winner exclaimed.
Shop, Show, and an Evening of Enjoyment
After a stop at our administrative building and Customer Service, the shop visit was next – complete with musical surprises in the brass, drums, PA, and traditional instrument departments. Our staff prepared little performances and musical samples for the guests. With their €200 vouchers in hand, the winners eagerly explored the store and shopped. They were even given a sneak peek of our new shop, as Florian took them directly onto the construction site. The day concluded with a shared dinner with Hans and COO Markus Neser: show cooking, wine tasting, and plenty of time for conversation made the evening truly unforgettable.
Where Music Connects People
What made this day truly special wasn’t just the behind-the-scenes access, but the connections. Strangers became friends, winners became a small community, networking throughout the event regardless of language or background. For us at Thomann, that’s the essence: connecting people through music.
